For The Sharp, Smart, and Obsessively Curious

Chances are, you have big plans (pass the bar, work really hard, and make a difference). We get that. In fact, over 100 of us were once in your shoes. Which is why we've crafted a totally unique Summer Associate Program to help you get where you want to go. A program that will test your grit, open your eyes, and—bottom line—make you an exceptional lawyer. You’ll be exposed to our real, refreshing, international law firm.

A Summer Like No Other

Our Summer Associate Program is different from other firms’. For starters: you’ll get to do more. Our summer associates draft motions, research, negotiate contracts, interview witnesses, and that’s just the beginning. You’ll have access to a variety of practice areas as you work on a series of short-term projects, gaining valuable feedback and insight along the way. Our primary goal is to give you a crash course on what it’s like to be a lawyer here. The work, the training, the social events—all will give you a great idea of who we are, what we do, and how we do it. We hope you end up joining us. After all, homegrown lawyers are key to the success and richness of our practice.

Instruction + Inspiration

We pack the summer with workshops and in-house seminars to make you a better lawyer. Using a fictional fact pattern, you'll become counsel to a fictional client all summer long. You’ll conduct your own deposition, oral argument, and negotiation/mediation session. And those fictional clients and judges? They’re Crowell & Moring partners, counsel and associates—the very people committed to helping you become a better lawyer.

Real-Live Events

Summer Associates can observe Crowell & Moring lawyers in action by attending various Live Events: real-world activities like court hearings, client meetings, depositions, presentations, and negotiations.
