Crowell & Moring Aviation Partner To Speak at the 18th Annual International AirFinance Legal Conference

Washington, D.C. – August 13, 2003: Eileen Gleimer, a partner with Crowell & Moring's Aviation Group, is scheduled to speak at the 18th Annual International AirFinance Legal Conference at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C. on November 6th & 7th, 2003. The seminar will provide the aviation and finance community with insight into a myriad of issues regarding the condition of the aviation industry and related tax, bankruptcy, finance, insurance and operating issues.

Eileen will participate in the session entitled, "Corporate Jet Finance - Fractional Shares," which addresses a variety of issues, including:

  • The fractional share concept and how it works
  • Application of US Law
  • Issues in creating European fractional shares

Eileen has practiced aviation law for two decades and is widely recognized as one of the top business aviation attorneys in the United States. She advises a wide range of clients on commercial transactions involving the purchase, sale, lease and financing of business and transport category aircraft and structuring aircraft ownership and operations to ensure FAA and DOT regulatory compliance. These clients include large and small businesses owning, operating and managing corporate aircraft; leasing companies; fixed-base operators; repair facilities; fractional ownership program managers and participants and e-commerce companies selling corporate aviation services. Ms. Gleimer was a participant in the Fractional Ownership Aviation Rulemaking Committee appointed by the FAA Administrator and is a member of the Part 135/Part 125 Aviation Rulemaking Committee. She is also a member of the Board of Advisors of the Journal of Air Law & Commerce.
