Crowell & Moring's antitrust lawyers offer unparalleled service through our commitment to understanding each client's business, company culture and risk tolerance.

Our lawyers have a broad range of experience at the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the European Commission. This experience has carried over to our private practice, where we appear before those same agencies as well as other regulatory agencies involved in competition policy. We also have a national and international complex civil litigation practice, in federal and state courts, at both the trial and appellate levels. Additionally, we work closely with our clients to reduce antitrust risk by conducting thousands of onsite and online antitrust training sessions, and by establishing effective compliance and audit programs.

Representative Engagements

  • Defended an international retailer in consumer class action litigation alleging federal antitrust violations against all major retailers in the relevant industry.

  • Advised retailers in connection with merger and acquisition review by government agencies.
  • Provided antitrust counseling on a variety of distribution issues relevant to retailers, including distribution agreements, resale price maintenance and minimum advertised pricing, bundling and discounting, and price discrimination.
