Ashley R. Riveira is a counsel in Crowell & Moring's International Dispute Resolution Group and focuses her practice on international arbitration and litigation. Ashley's international experience includes disputes involving Mongolia, El Salvador, Libya, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Uzbekistan and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) in fora such as the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, as well as ad hoc arbitrations conducted under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules and disputes arising under the United States-Central American-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT). Ashley is also an active participant in Crowell's pro bono program, successfully representing applicants in asylum cases and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions.

Prior to attending law school, Ashley worked as the Immigration Caseworker for Congressman Mike Thompson (D-CA). While in law school, Ashley served as the Director of the Professional Development Committee for the Women's Law Association and as an Executive Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender. During her third year of law school, Ashley co-authored Presumed Equal: What America's Top Women Lawyers Think About Their Firms. In 2007, Ashley was honored as one of Running Start's "Women to Watch" in recognition for her work on Presumed Equal.
