Senior Counsel

Brad Nykiel regularly advises clients on a broad range of intellectual property issues, focusing most of his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, clearance, and opinion work. Brad’s clients are leading companies working primarily on electrical, computer, mechanical, and electromechanical technologies.

Before entering law school, Brad obtained his Master’s in Electrical Engineering with a focus in radio frequency design, and worked as a research engineer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Research Labs. That experience serves as a foundation for Brad’s technical expertise, and for his ability to understand new technologies and relate to the inventors with whom he works and helps.

Clients appreciate Brad’s responsiveness and attention to every detail. He is known for thoroughly addressing his clients’ questions and immediate needs while understanding their broader business goals.  He keeps current on intellectual property law and adapts his practices to its frequent changes.
