Bridget Carr is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Government Contracts and White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement groups.

In her practice, Bridget represents government contractors in False Claims Act investigations and litigation. She also represents individuals and corporations in connection with investigations regarding criminal matters and regulatory enforcement.

Representative Matters

  • Represent government contractors in investigations relating to the civil False Claims Act.
  • Counsel government contractor regarding disclosure of employee criminal misconduct.
  • Represent individual in connection with alleged securities fraud investigation.
  • Assist government contractors in responding to False Claims Act civil investigative demands relating to small business set-aside contracts.
  • Represent individual in connection with criminal investigation regarding alleged improper foreign exchange transactions.
  • Counsel corporate officer in conjunction with internal compliance investigation.

Bridget maintains an active pro bono practice. As counsel for a third party in a custody case, Bridget has taken a deposition and gained valuable trial experience at the D.C. Superior Court, Domestic Relations Branch. She is part of a team of multiple Crowell & Moring attorneys representing individual and organizational plaintiffs in a voting rights impact litigation matter based in Gwinnett County, GA. She has also assisted human trafficking survivors with petitions for revised documentation.

Bridget received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a contributing editor for the Michigan Journal of Law Reform and a student attorney for the Law School’s Human Trafficking Clinic during her second and third years, representing survivors of both labor and sex trafficking. As part of her work in the clinic, Bridget successfully petitioned district courts for expungement of convictions related to sex trafficking on behalf of her client in two counties in Michigan. While in law school, Bridget interned at the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division, Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section, and participated in Crowell & Moring’s summer associate program.

Prior to attending law school, Bridget worked as a paralegal specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, spending the majority of her time as part of the trial team for the United States v. American Express case litigated in the Eastern District of New York. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in International Relations and French & Francophone Studies from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society.
