Gloria Martinez Trattles is a senior counsel in the firm's Mass Tort, Product, and Consumer Litigation Group. For nearly two decades, her practice has focused predominantly on serving as national counsel for two multinational corporations in connection with the companies' premises liability and products liability litigation, providing strategic advice on the defense of individual cases as well as the development of broader objectives and novel approaches to the management of a nationwide docket. Gloria has deep experience with every stage of litigation, from case commencement, through discovery, to trial and appeal. She has successfully appealed several key legal issues to the intermediate appellate and highest courts of several states.
Gloria's practice also includes providing strategic advice to companies with respect to medical device litigation and trucking-related personal injury litigation.
Gloria has a robust pro bono practice, focusing predominantly on prolonged detention habeas corpus cases, immigration appeals, and third-party custody disputes.
Gloria previously practiced as a general commercial litigator in the New York offices of O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Mayer, Brown & Platt. Immediately prior to joining the firm, she spent two years as an Acting Associate Professor of Law at NYU School of Law.
