Jarad Schaeffner is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Corporate and Insurance/Reinsurance groups. Jarad’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, broker-dealer and securities regulation, employee benefit matters related to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), general corporate and commercial transactions, corporate compliance and governance, and insurance-related transactional and regulatory matters. Jarad also maintains an active pro bono practice counseling non-profit corporations on general corporate-, compliance-, and employment-related matters.

Jarad graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers Law School in 2017, where he was a legal research and writing teaching assistant and a clinical law student in the Rutgers Community & Transactional Lawyering Clinic. Jarad also worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch prior to and during law school, assisting plan participants with their 401(k), pension, executive compensation, and equity award plans.
