Robbie Rogart is a counsel in the Mass Tort, Product, and Consumer Litigation, Product Risk Management, and Litigation groups in Crowell & Moring's Washington, D.C. office. Robbie represents clients across numerous industries in a diverse array of commercial, class action, multi-district, health care, and products liability litigations in state and federal courts. Robbie also provides counseling regarding product liability, risk management, and consumer product regulatory compliance, with a focus on health care and medical devices.


  • Defending an international medical device manufacturer in all U.S. product liability litigation.
  • Defending a health care services and products company in U.S. product liability litigation related to medical devices.
  • Defending an international medical device manufacturer in product liability litigation in the United States, including issues related to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and the Premarket Approval (PMA) process.
  • Defending Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies in Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) national and statewide class actions asserting antitrust claims.
  • Defended an insurance risk retention group in settlement of numerous class action lawsuits.
  • Negotiated and supported “limited fund” settlement of hundreds of class action lawsuits against a university following its loss of accreditation.
  • Defended a major retailer against a potential civil penalty enforcement action for alleged late reporting regarding a product recall.
  • Defended a product manufacturer in MDL national class actions asserting claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

In addition, Robbie has an active pro bono practice, including recent work on a child custody case, a special education matter in D.C. Public Schools, defense of a public housing tenant in an eviction proceeding by D.C.H.A. for nonpayment of rent, and research regarding potential Fourth Amendment implications of searches in the homes of public housing tenants.

Robbie graduated with high honors from the University of Virginia in 2009 with a B.A. in political philosophy, policy & law. She earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2012. During law school, Robbie interned for the Honorable Marian Blank Horn on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and served as an articles editor on the Journal of Law & Politics. Before joining Crowell & Moring, Robbie clerked for the Honorable John F. Anderson on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Alexandria, Virginia.
