Alexis Victoria DeBernardis is a counsel in the Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the Antitrust & Competition Group, where her practice focuses on representing corporate clients in a wide range of antitrust issues, including competitor collaborations, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and issues related to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act. Her experience covers several industries, in particular, healthcare providers and payors, aerospace and defense, telecommunications, and financial services.

- Advising clients regarding potential antitrust liability associated with horizontal and vertical conduct in a variety of industries, including healthcare and defense.
- Representing Humana before the Antitrust Division and in court in its attempted transaction with Aetna and related litigation.
- Representing AT&T in connection with several acquisitions, including DIRECTV and TimeWarner.
- Representing United Technologies in connection with its $30 billion acquisition of Rockwell Collins.
- Counseling matters related to potential transactions and competitor collaborations.
- Representing Clean Harbors in connection with its acquisition of the industrial cleaning services division of Veolia North America.
- Representing Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Commerzbank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, and J.P. Morgan in connection with the formation of FXSpotStream LLC.
- Representing third-parties before the FTC and DOJ in connection with pending transactions.
- Representing United Technologies in connection with its $16.5 billion acquisition of Goodrich.
- Conducting client training on a range of issues, including teaming, competitor communications, and compliance issues.
At the firm, Alexis is a steering committee member of the Women Attorneys' Network, an internal network dedicated to the promotion and advancement of women attorneys through a community platform and professional development opportunities.
Alexis received her juris doctor from the George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board. She received her B.S. in finance from the University of Florida in 2004. Alexis is admitted in both the District of Columbia and New York.
