In addition to his deep knowledge of IP matters, Kristof offers valuable thought leadership in relation to the regulatory aspects of life sciences. He advises manufacturers of both generic and originator products on launch and marketing strategies, parallel imports, promotional practices, rebates, pricing and reimbursement, distribution models, OTC products, health care reforms, and competition law aspects.
Kristof is an experienced litigator across a broad range of commercial and civil matters, covering all aspects of dispute resolution, including arbitration. He is often asked to answer complex multijurisdictional questions, and he is well known for his deep understanding of private international law and procedural issues. Kristof practices before the Belgian civil and administrative courts, the Belgian regulatory authorities, and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Kristof is a former assistant professor of private international law at the University of Ghent and IP law at the University of Liège. He is a frequent public speaker and guest lecturer and the author of many articles on IP and private international law. Kristof is on the editorial board of IRDI, a leading Belgian journal on IP matters, and is an active member of various national and international IP associations, including the Council for Intellectual Property, an advisory body to the Belgian government.
Kristof is co-manager of Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office.
