Mark Meyer is a partner in Crowell & Moring’s London office and leads our European insurance practice. He has more than 20 years of experience advising insurers and reinsurers on coverage and insurer defense of policyholders. He regularly represents clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other forms of ADR.

The Legal 500 describes Mark as “having an excellent reputation in coverage disputes.” The Chambers Guide calls Mark “extremely canny and completely charming” with an “outstanding knowledge of insurance and reinsurance with aviation.” Mark has experience in several lines of insurance and reinsurance business, notably, property treaty and facultative covers, professional indemnity and management liability, and in the specialty lines of aviation, energy package insurance, and transactional risk insurance. In recent years, Mark has also advised on cyber exposure in the context of physical damage to property and business interruption. Mark's clients include many leading names in the insurance and reinsurance industry.

Mark is listed in the current edition of the Legal Media Group’s Guides to the World’s Leading Lawyers directory of leading Insurance and Reinsurance lawyers. Mark is also named as a leader in the field of aviation by established legal directory, UK Legal Experts, and is featured in Best Lawyers for Aviation Law. Mark is a member of the Aviation Insurance Association, the Professional Liability Underwriters Society, the London Court of International Arbitration, and in 2011 he joined the International Committee of ARIAS US.

  • Pool reinsurers in several arbitrations regarding accident and health business in the London market.
