Equipped with extensive intellectual property experience working with leading technology companies, Wei-Chih Hsu offers solutions tailored to fit his clients’ commercial needs. He has experience working with various technologies, including analog electronics, control systems and automation, digital electronics, hardware, semiconductors, signal processing, software, and telecommunication devices.
Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Wei-Chih served as an in-house senior patent engineer with an emphasis on the prosecution of patents in the United States, Mainland China, and Taiwan. He oversaw the issuance of hundreds of patents in these jurisdictions, and collaborated with technical contributors to cultivate patentable innovations. Additionally, he assisted with patent litigation matters by developing invalidity defenses and investigating competitors’ products to collect the evidence of use. He was promoted to be an intellectual property manager before he attended Maurer School of Law in the United States. There, he learned expansive knowledge and skills across different fields of intellectual property, including trademark and copyright law. With these experiences and skill sets, Wei-Chih endeavors to assist his clients with diverse intellectual property matters with an eye toward their commercial needs.
